SonoAnalyzer OE and Demo - version 1.4.2 released
Announcing the release of SonoAnalyzer OE version 1.4.2 (codename "Strutt") also available as a 30-day, limited use demo.
This is a maintenance update including bug-fixes in the activation process and updates to the preloaded cached model results, which now include automatic detection and selection of the pure axial modes (first and second harmonics). Upgrade is recommended. Further details are shown below.
Enhancement: Following the development of automatic mode detection on SonoAnalyzer Pro, the same process has now been implemented on the online analysis servers for OE. This adds descriptive names (eg. "Axial 1") to identified modes. Before version 1.4.x, these modes will be shown but not selected automatically. SonoAnalyzer OE 1.4.x will also select "Axial 1" preferentially (if found) on completion of an analysis - avoiding the need to search through the list of modes to find the preferred axial mode. However, this applies only to new analyses run since November 2013. From version 1.4.2, the preloaded cache of analysis results for the default models has also been updated to use the new results.
Bug-fix: In certain circumstances version 1.4.x would hang immediately after license activation (not resolved by restarting). This has now been fixed.
Bug-fix: In version 1.4.x, when license activation was attempted with an invalid key, the activation process would loop continuously until the program was stopped. This has now been fixed.
Information for current SonoAnalyzer OE users:
Upgrading to the new version is recommended. Your updated file download is shown under Files in "My account". The filename is "SonoAnalyzerOE-setup.exe". Please log into your account to download the new file. Uninstalling any / all versions prior to 1.3.x is required before installing this one. Your saved settings, including the license key, should not be affected by the removal / installation.
Information for current SonoAnalyzer Demo users:
The file download is the same as for the purchased SonoAnalyzer OE and can be downloaded and installed in the same way. Uninstalling any / all versions prior to 1.3.x is required before installing this one. Access is still restricted by the demo license. Previous demo users whose license has expired but who wish to try the new version, please email or open a support ticket to request an extension.
Information for current SonoAnalyzer RC users:
The release-candidate version SonoAnalyzer RC is no longer available, having been replaced by OE, but early-adopters who purchased it can continue to use it until the licence expiry. As compensation for the late arrival of SonoAnalyzer Pro, expiry has been extended from September 1, 2013 to end 2013 (or the final release date of SonoAnalyzer Pro). After expiry clients may purchase extensions or upgrades at the discounted prices fixed at the time of purchase.
The license key shown under Product Keys in "My account" will still show "SonoAnalyzer RC" but all RC licenses are now exactly equivalent to OE licenses. The file download shown under Files in "My account" will still show "SonoAnalyzerRC-setup.exe" but the download link will now provide the SonoAnalyzer OE setup file as above.
